magazines part 2

Image based covers are normally consisted of people looking at the camera. In most cases, they will be smiling and will show a lot just from the picture. In other cases, they wont be smiling and could look almost mad, but it all depends on the publication nature. It could also be a landscape image. Illustrated based magazine covers are mostly animated magazine covers. They can sometimes be funny, but they dont have to be. There arent very many magazines that choose to go the illustrated cover route, but a very popular magazine that does, is The New Yorker. Although it is also not that common, type based covers will be seen occasionally on magazines. It is usually just like what it sounds like. It can sometimes express more than an image can and leave a deep thought in the audiences head. Concept based magazine covers are typically funny and use many techniques. favorite Jessica Fecteau  created this  Vogue  cover with bold lines and angles that traverse the model’s face and hand. Although she executed it digitally, the red and turquoise strips look like face paint with colors that match the masthead. I like this cover for the magazine because of the paint and the eye contact. If i were able to alter this image in any way,  i would make it to where the magazine title more visible and more obvious. I like the paint, but i think more lighting on the left side of the picture. Overall, really good.

1. Add a prop  of some kind into your shots and you create another point of interest that can enhance your shot. 2.play with eye contact 3.obscure part of subject I like this photo because of the props around the firefighter. The truck, lockers, suit, and axe really put him in his element. I like this photo because of the theme. He is wearing a rashguard and a gi and you can see mats around him. I like this photo because of the background and the bunny. They chose lighter colors for the foreground and dark colors for the background which i like. I like this because of the creativity. It makes me wonder how this was made. I like this because it shows what the kids are doing instead of a regular picture where they are smiling for a camera. I like this because he is in his element and is playing soccer. These kind of pictures tell a bit about the person. I might shoot pictures of my wrestling team or pictures of me with my snakes for a self po...
