Matthew Everett, a freshman at Bowie High School, won student of the month for the month of March.

The student of the month won this award through rigging the voting system with his grandma.

"Cheating, lying, and rigging the system is the only reason Matthew won the vote," said principal Scallywag.

Matthew is a soccer player and regularly competes in hot dog eating contests for cash prizes on the weekends.

When asked how he managed to win the student of the month award, he said "through hard work and determination," but after more questioning, he later admitted to having help and cheating the voting system.

He says that he volunteers at the animal shelter on the weekends, whenever he isnt at his hot dog eating contests.

When Matthew was asked about who voted for him to become student of the month, he replied "My grandma because she didnt want me to graduate high school as a failure and she rigged the voting."

Based on the confession about the rigged voting, many are wondering how easy it was to rig the system, and wonder what the school will be doing to prevent it in the future.

When his Mom was interviewed about his behavior at home, she replied "He doesnt care about anything. He comes home, argues with me, grabs a caprisun, and goes up to his room. He always steals my credit card and spends it on robux and vbucks."

After the interview with his mom, many have reached out with parenting tips and have even started a support group for her.

Even though he openly admitted to cheating, when asked if he feels bad for what he did, he replied "I am very sorry for my actions and understand that I have not only hurt the school, but the whole community. Ever since the incident, I am trying to be a better person everyday."
